Introducing HD Dress. An exterior water based dressing designed to shine, darken & protect exterior non-painted porous surfaces including, tires, textured trim & engine compartments. This dressing doesn't sling,  is not greasy and is very easy to work with.

2 things that I love about HD Dress is the Bubble Gum scent and its ability to allow the user to alter the level of shine. From extra shiny to a satiny mat look. 1 uniform coat will deeply darken and give a great shine. 2 coats create a shiny high wet look.  Gently wipe and with a towel and adjust the level of gloss.

Apply to your choice of applicator. In this case I'm using  the 3D dressing block. No need to over apply the product. Initially just enough to coat most of the key areas of the applicator. Once applied, add 3-4 more drops as needed. A little goes a long way.

Here is what the shine is like after 2 full treatments:

Check out this 50/50:

To alter the gloss, take a scrap cotton or Microfiber towel and lightly wipe:

Here is the difference from Shiny (9 o'clock to 12 o'clock) to semi-matt (12 o'clock to 3 o'clock)

Nice. I'm waiting on my free bottle to arrive from the thanksgiving sale. I'm looking to change from Opti-Bond gel just because a lot of my clients seem to prefer a glossier look.

Wow. That looks outstanding. Any ideas on durability?

Thanks!  It's not super long lasting like a silicone based dressing, but I would be willing to rank this product right up against the best from a durability standpoint. I would love for you to try some and see for yourself. I'm quite certain you won't be disappointed.

Great news Mark. Post your findings. You're really gonna love the smell.

The results look similar to Opti-Bond,

but the Optibond can be diluted for HVLP application.

Can this also be used in this way?

Also Optibond can be used on interior vinyl if the customer

is "stuck" on shinier is better.  Does this product have any

dual-uses?

Looks good. My only criticism (constructive) would be of the videos. In the HD Total video, HD Touch is being sprayed on the wheel @ 1:16 and not HD Total (was this a rinse phase?)

Secondly, in the HD Dress video it appears that HD Dress is sprayed onto the tire as a cleaning agent and then used to clean the tire by wiping it off. A letter segment shows application via applicator sponge. I'm not sure if there were editing issues or if there is a process that wasn't explained.

I only bring this up because it may cause confusion for some consumers. Not trying to bash here, I like the products that I have purchased so far.

I tried it today on my wife's Highlander, I was surprised by how little I used. A little bit goes a long way and it dried in very quickly. The wife liked the look so I have a new product that appears to be a hit. I will have to report back later on how well it holds up.

bought some of this from my local HD store and had a chance to use it. it spreads very easily and a little goes a long way. mine came with a sprayer attached and 2-3 sprays will do each tire with no problems. one thing is to make sure you pull in the trigger quickly w/ the tip of the sprayhead turned just enough to the open wide setting. that will prevent spraying out little strips or glob onto your tire applicator. as long as it holds up for a few weeks till the next wash then it's fine with me. great product, can't wait to give a few others in the HD line a try next! :)

Curious to hear if this has any other uses,

and if the dilution radio is 1 to 16.

The ratio itself could seal the deal for me,

as opti bond is best at 1 to 1 how i use it.

This means that i run through alot of the product.

^ I could be wrong, but I don't think it's meant to be diluted and it's RTU right out of the bottle. a little goes a long way (spreads easy) and for me one 16oz. bottle will last quite some time. just add a little or more as desired to achieve the results you're after...

just went out to the garage and looked at the bottle and here's what it says...

" For added gloss apply 2 coats of HD DRESS "

" Product can be diluted up to 2 to 1 for a more matte type appearance "

well I driven over 500 miles and while the shine diminished a little since I applied one light coat, it's evident that the dressing is still there and looks matte. while I could of applied more HD Dress to each tire, the amount used and look it gave is quite good. another fine product from HD!

Guys, how does this product look after driving in the rain?  Does it disappear?  Is it messy and streaked??

thanks.

I purchased the product as well.  I haven't used it yet.  Curious about how it holds up in the rain.  That's kind of the ultimate test for me.
