HD Challenge (@ SEMA?)

It came to 3D's attention today that a rumor was started on another forum about the new HD UNO car polish. The rumor basically stated that HD UNO caused holograms and was only a mediocre product.



As a result, Tunch, the owner of 3D, asked me to "drop the gauntlet" and invite three challengers to 3D in Santa Clarita, CA, all expenses paid. In other words, bring the polishes you think can't be beat, and use them side-by-side with HD UNO. The event will be video taped, and the results -- good or bad -- will be published on YouTube in HD.



Here's the catch:



- Event will be on a weekend TBD

- You may not be affiliated with the products you are putting against HD UNO

- The winning product will be determined by Autopia member votes from the videos



If you'd like to be part of this test, please tell us why you think you should be selected. Please don't PM me about it.



If you're one of the three selected, I'll see to it that you get a ride in Tunch's new Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. :D

How cool. I saw the "all expenses paid" deal for three guys.

Perhaps that could apply to three guys coming from WAY out of the area? This way, more local guys could attend and join in.



Personally, I would like to see a shootout INCLUDING guys from other companies.

Not necessarily at any one manufactures facility... Just thinking out loud.

But 3D thought of it. I applaud the challenge, nonetheless. Kudos.



Can you better clarify the statement, "You may not be affiliated with the products you are putting against HD UNO"?



Are there other stipulations?

Rotary or random orbital okay?

Magic Elixers or Super Stealth pads allowed? Customized machines?

C'mon now. Go easy on Trunch. He is (or was) very proud of his product to make such a bold challenge.

It takes the same sort of boldness to make things happen, like owning this forum, like owning 3D and probably

a bunch of other "stuff."



If this challenge actually happens, odds are, he we lose this battle. And i'll giggle a bit. But just a little bit...cus then it's back

to dipping my wash mitt in the bucket as Mr. Trunch drives off in his Ferrari...
 
Hi Autopians,

I love the challenge too...I have decided to finally do it.

Up until now I procrastinated because the respect I have for all the Vendors & brands in this forum. I want to make one thing clear; I do not want to challenge HDUNO against any other brand !!! But instead challenge against some negative comments that has been made unfairly in other forums. We know that HDUNO is a great polish and I want to prove it to the people who made negative comments without even trying it.....How do I know that they did not even try? Well I sent PM to some of the people who had said that had bad experiences and asked them that we would be glad to refund their money and they never even replied back.

I think it will be more ethical to Change the name of this event from :"HDUNO CHALLENGE"to "HDUNO PROMISE"

I just want to prove what is says on the bottle is what it does. HDUNO is a true one step polish and does a great job.

I Challenge those who say it does not do what it should.

I don't understand whats Lame about it??? At the time HDUNO was an advertiser like any other Car Care brand in Autopia. We did not had any intentions to sell other company products. But now we are...

However we welcome any other companies to Challange HDUNO if they wish. But we think it is more ethical to call this event "HDUNO PROMISE".

NO, I Would Not Like To Try HDUNO. I don't think handing out a few free bottles of product is enough to make up for the hype that was created by this thread. The company had a HUGE advertising event at hand, backed out, and now trying to pawn people off with a few bottles of product.... count me out. I think HD/3D lost an enormous amount of momentum because of the actions we've seen here.
