HD and 3D product reviews

Well, I also got my order:

- 3D Final touch quick detailer (2 x 1 gal)

- HD free refill (1 gal)

- 3D ready glass cleaner (1 gal)

- 3D waterless wash (1 gal, free as gift)

I was looking for a new quick detailer with decent cleaning ability. The few reviews of 3D final touch were overwhelming postive, so I decided to take the plunge, and at that price, get 2 gallons. I am glad I got 2 gals, I will be using it a lot. More details to come:

Alex

alex, IME i find that the final touch has good cleaning ability...

Quick write ups... Uno -- used Uno nice polish goes on easy a little harder to remove than I would like. Left the car in great condition for Poxy.

PS Since then my Uno 2.0 Beta batch has come in. Have not used it yet.

Poxy - Easy on Easy off !! Created a wet like shine as similar to adding another layer of clearcoat. IMO beats BFWD by a little. Poxy leaves a nuba like finish I really like. Very cost effective. One ounce will do a whole car. Added a second coat 24 hours latter. Did not observe a better finish than with one coat. Durability unknown. I detail my car to often to give a durability opinion.... Nuba's have been put to the side for now.

Can be found here Car Care order the 32 oz size for a great deal!!!

Hi I called 3D and their customer service guy gave me a tip I think you should try... After using the HDUNO do not try to remove it. Just go over with HDPOXY and this way you cut one more step. Use a PC with a finishing pad and a small amount of Poxy. That's it.

A few months back when i was at the 3D store in Vegas, the salesman gave me the same tip.

Do you guys think UNO would be good for someone who has never used a DA before? It sounds like it could possibly accentuate the problems that noobs often have, like not working long enough or using too much polish in such a small area.

And its difficult removal sounds like an interesting problem

We as we all know DA is very to easy to use for even a person never used a polisher before. HDUNo has a great open time. So they can not go wrong.

IMO UNO is very newbie friendly, especially if used with a polishing pad. If you move to a cutting pad, it might get more difficult but not like Megs105.

I'm glad you like the HD TOTAL & DUO pad. My all time favorite interior cleaner. Great product review!

Mine too! If it wasn't for your Ferrari detail, I wouldn't have given it a chance. Glad I did!

Does anyone else have an opinion on HD Free waterless wash? Can someone verify that it does not cause marring? (Haven't seen any before/after shots!)

I have used, and love it! in my opinion, the best waterless car wash available. If used properly it will not cause any marrying. Please noticed that I put emphasis on "properly" If you wanna use it in a mud covered car, it will probably marr the paint ;)

I have found that a high pressure rinse before using the waterless car wash works wonders. The stuff has enough lubricity and cleaning power to even tackle very dirty cars (and yes, very dirty and mud covered are not the same) A car that has been pressure rinsed can be washed using HD free (or 3D waterless wash) in less than 5 minutes! :D

Anymore thoughts on the 3d Final Touch? Frankly I'm tired of the smell of Megs Last Touch and am looking for something new to try.:loco:

I've been pretty happy with HD Poxy, easy on, easy off, great slickness and adds excellent depth to the paint. Seems to be holding up well after 2-3 months but we really haven't had any rain here either so it might be fall before I really have a feel for the durability.

How do you use it???? Is it like a lotion??? Thanks
