Todd, it also has to do with pad speed, pressure and time in a certain area. This is going to be hard to explain on the heat issue I believe contributes to the gloss factor. I will be more than happy to try and explain it in words and you can write it in yours. It is a finese type feeling with the rotary. I can not put it in words. The best way to describe it I guess it is the combination of all three above but in a flow motion if you can understand that. Putting that much pressure on a pc is going to have adverse effects to it, it just wasn't made for alot of pressure on it. As far as better tools than Makita, DeWalt and
Dynabrade for two. I have two Black and Deckers that are now Dewalts that are over 20 years old and have been put through the ringer, from wet sanding 100's of cars to our details. The only thing that has broke is the cord. You have a point about using the pc for 25 years but it is only going to do so much, that is just plain and simple. like I said I was not trying to down you and I would agree your researching is awesome, no denying that. I would also agree just because someone has x amount of years doesn't make him better but my work speaks for itself and I was not trying to take anything away from you because you have achieved some great things from your skills but nothing can replace experience from someone that has honed their skill. You have more than helped people and no one can take that away from you and I am sure alot of people have benefited from it, even if your pics are cropped. I am sure weather has alot to do with it, so when Eric can come up here when I am not so busy he can compare the differences in polishing from the two states. I have no problem going a little off topic on my thread as long as it is kept to this level of discussion and also it was fun like I said above doing this with someone that has a head on their shoulders
