I cant get alot of trunks clean, its like the carpet holds on to the dirt and other stuff. I have tried using a stiff brush and it does not help. I need help it is driving me crazy.

some trunks have some stupid fabric that holds onto dirt and debris like crazy! I just recently spent 1 hr 20 min on VACUUMING a jeep out....yes, just vacuuming!!! about 50 min of that was on the rear "trunk" area!

I called it good enough at 90% because she has two dogs which would be in there the next day, she was happy with it, I wasnt, but what can you do when you are only getting paid so much...

With those types of situations, you reach a point of diminishing returns. At that point you just move on. You could spend all day on it, but then of course you would have to charge accordingly.

Agreed. You really can't brush it out either or the fabric pulls up.

Ya I have noticed this to. I have had a few cars with all the carpet like this its such a pain, I just explain to the customers why the carpet is not perfectly clean.

If there is a mat it the trunk i take it out vacuum it, bang it against a pole a bunch of times and see what happens. sometimes I have to hand pick things out, but packing tape works well. Sometimes I say forget it and explain it to the customer and charge less.

charge the same...not less! Its not your fault the mat sucks!

I just spent 15 min the truck of a mercedes C class today and said good enough because its that wirey type stuff miked with sand and tiny leaves and "spliter" sized debris...I got over it at 10 min, but pushed on another 5 with no real help in looks...

Sometimes a rubber brush, like a dog hair brush works, other times, a brass brush a sidewall brush, run lightly over the surface will break the debrise up and let your vacuum get to it. Other times, you're just screwed, but until you've hit it with both those brushes you might think you are, but you're not.

I had a Christmas tree in the back of my jeep and the pine needles are still there. I thought maybe after the needles dried up it would be easy to get it out; even with the 4hp metro vac and blow they still are embedded in the fabric.
