Have OHC Now, is it Worth it to Buy Menzerna PG?

I have PG and Presta. Depends on the paint and temp for which one I use, either way I've found Presta to finish down nicer.

Powergloss i use all the time.

Lots of cut, good working time and finishes down fairly well. Usually has very little marring or holograms and i have even finishes LSP ready on hard light coloured paint.

I think PG would be very similar to Optimum Hyper Compound. It may have slightly more cut , but is not as easy to work with or as versatile.

No telling what else you may need if I don't know what you are trying to accomplish. :nixweiss

OHC has decent cut and a long work time, seems to do well on harder paints although I haven't used it much with my rotary yet.

I haven't had great success with the original version of OHC. The newer version may be bettter. I'd suggest M105 or 3m 3000 RC. Both should be used with a rotary.

i have used OHC in the past on some pretty nasty stuff....

I split the hood into sections and tried out OHC, PG, HTEC

OHC removed less, but left a decent shine

PG removed more but less shine

HTEC removed about the same as PG and left more shine

That is why I only use HTEC now...MY full bottle of OHC never gets used....

Great to know. Thanks!

HTEC is a pretty good medium polish and works by PC. If you need more power step up to 3m and a rotary.

I am exclusively using a Flex at the moment. I would assume that HTEC would have enough cut with the Flex? I am looking for a good compound with bite when SIP isn't enough.

I haven't used my SIP yet so I can't compare it to HTEC. 3m3000RC or 105 would work with the Flex but might haze the paint requiring a 3 step. I can 2 step with 3m3000RC by rotary.

Hi all, It's been awhile since my last visit here. I thought I should comment on the new OHC I recently got. The first thing I noticed was the blueish color vs the brown color of the old version. The old version always looked like OC to me. The new version has more cut, you can actually feel it between your fingers. I could never feel any grit between my fingers with the old one. I find it has more initial cut than the old and still has a long work time and finishes at least as good. A definate improvement over the old version.

I find OHC very easy and consistent to work with, and this is why I use it a lot. I often wish it had more bite though. I also use PG but it always seems to dust a lot, so don't use it as much. This reminds me, I need to try mixing the two :)

The next compound I'm gonna get is definitely M105.
