Have a Chance to Sponsor an Event

I have a chance to sponsor Stancewi a big (Import/Tuner) car show held yearly. I think it would be a great way to get my name out there and show off some of the work I have done and possibly do a few demos also. My target market is more upperclass customers and this event doesn't exactly match up. Do you guys think i should go ahead a sponsor it or save my money and redirect it another direction. Its only 150 dollars for 10x10 tent and 2 show cars by my tent. Do you guys think i should go for it?

For such a small outlay of cash I don't see it hurting you. Word of mouth about your work is worth a lot IMO. Just look and conduct yourself in a professional manner and you might be suprise with the results.

What do I do when I sponsor an event, Should I try to do demos or talk to people show off my work. Sorry im really new to this concept. My plan is to have a binder of a few cars of done, along with products i use and services I offer, maybe doing half a car and showing off a 50/50 before and after.

If you can have a car half polished and half untouched, or a bunch of 50/50 sections, that would make for a great display. On top of that an iPad or portfolio showing your work would be good too. Not sure I'd be doing demo as they take up a lot of time and may keep others from asking questions. Being able to answer questions and explain what it is you do that separates yourself from other shops will be key IMO.

I have always wanted to demo to a group how scratches and sanding marks can be corrected.Having a hood or panel set up for correction will showcase your skills.

I'm on good terms with a local salvage yard so it should be easy to get my hands on a hood or fender to do demos on. Hope they have power there for my tools. Thanks Everyone for your input.

If they will include your name in some of their advertisement it is a win win. It starts at 1k to sponsor some major events here. But that does include you in all marketing promotions w/ links to your website and marketing materials in the registered goodie bags.

Sorry two posts. Having the panel pre done will also work if no power. The key is you there representing it is your work. Like the 50/50 idea.
