Has anyone used the Michelin Products?

I have the brake dust repellent and must say that I'm disappointed. I haven't noticed any reduction in the amount of brake dust that accumulates on the wheels. The one thing I do like about it is that after it's applied my wheels look as though they've been waxed.

Did the same for mine to just the brake dust rubs off with the swipe of a finger, i find it works great.
 
I have been using the Michelin products for a while now. I love the wheel and tire cleaner. It does a great job. The brake dust repellent really keeps the dirt/dust to a minimum and I find that it makes the cleaning easier. However, I don't like the tire dressing. I prefer a shinier, glossy finish. Here in Canada, they have been packaging the 3 products together and it's a great deal. Last week at Canadian Tire, the package was on sale for $19.99. Separately each product is $11.99.

I think the best tire shine out there is endurance from meguairs, lasts for weeks and it's not overally shiny but there is some shine but makes them nice and dark black, love the look on my brother's bridgestone turanza's :bow

The BDR hasn't done a thing for me either. It hasn't slowed down the accumulation of brake dust at all on my wheels. I'm very disappointed in it. It does leave a nice appearance on the wheels especially on top of Zaino. I want to like this product, but it doesn't do what it's supposed to in my case.



The cleaner is extremely weak. It didn't even knock a dent in the brake dust on my wheels. I prefer A2Z. I don't have a problem removing brake dust anyway as I'm a Zaino user, but this product just isn't very strong at all. It would definitely be safe for use on any wheel though.



I love the Tire Shine! It gives a great satin appearance and it doesn't sling! However, the durability is not too good as others have mentioned. I'll definitely buy this product again, but I'm not sure about the other two Michelin products. I purchased the cleaner and tire shine at Sears in a two pack with a microfiber towel for $9.99. This particular Sears had tons and tons of the two packs.
 
I wonder if those of you having problems with the BDR have a rim that it just doesn't work well on... I have heard some with chrome rims say it didn't work for them....

My wife's GTP has the factory high polished wheels on it so that could be the case. It was bad to dust up the front wheels before I tried the BDR. I was hoping the BDR would help with the problem though.

Mine are the factory painted wheels with clear coat. Can't blame it on chrome in this case. I also tried the BDR on my wife's Grand Caravan. These wheels are clear coated as well. The stock brake pads kick up dust like, well a Benz. The Michelin BDR doesn't put a dent in the brake dust on her wheels either. Could my problem be user error? Is there a step in prep that's not on the can that I may be overlooking?
 
Actually, the spokes of my wheels are fairly clean still. Down on the lip of the wheels is where they're dustiest. It wasn't as bad this time as in times in the past.
 
I bought the Michelin rubber floor mats. Best floor mat i have ever owned for a truck. They never slide, or even move.
