Has Anyone Use The New Lake Country........

Like the title say's, Has anyone use the Lake Country Hybrid Power Finish Ultra Performance Pad System yet? I'm about to get some of them very soon and been looking for a review of some type on these new pads from Lake Country. I have seen the one Corey wrote up about these but would like to see more of them out there.

Nope, sorry Angelo. They are so new I haven't had a chance to get them and try them yet. I would love to try them out on my 3401 though. They sound promising if they are more durable than the HydroTech's.

I have tried them, and while they are very good when they are new, it seems like they tend to hold a lot of product even after cleaning them. The last fews times even with cleaning them 2 times, they have dusted product everywhere. I am going to clean them again and give them one last shot.

While they may be good for the 3401 my thought is they may be too big for guys using the PC style DA. Maybe they will come out with a 5.5 later but I wonder why they didn't from the begining seeing how that style polisher is more popular.

While the foam is very nice, I think the 45 degree bevel is too much of an angle. The 5.5" velcro loop is too small to use with the 3401. There's not enough support of the whole pad, and it creates a lot of wobble when polishing(with the 3401). JMO. :) Never tried them on a PC.

I'm a HUGE fan of the new Hybrid Power Finish pads. My personal favorite is the orange. For as much cut as it has, the finish it provides is ridiculous. I often refer to the Hybrid Power Finish pads as "Hydro-Techs on steroids" because they build upon what the Hydro-Tech pads are known for - superior cut with a superior finish.

If you have a Flex XC3401, these pads are a perfect match. With the stock 5.5" backing plate, the pads are self centering, which makes for a perfect fit every time.

Nice review STIGINATOR! :bigups

I have used the orange and white. Had them since the first of the year. I like them they work very well, but you need to change up your style a bit with them. I've only used them with a DA.

Here is what I think:
Go easy, very easy on the liquids.....more of the product sits ontop of the pad than most pads I've used. Too much liquid will "gum" up the surface and effect results.

They are stiff! Tight contour work is a bit more difficult.

Cleaning them is tough, as they "hold" water. I've tried to just brush the old product off the pad, without great sucess. They are similar in that reguard to the hydro pads.

The backing attchement has been sure and solid.

I did have a chunk of pad break off my white one.

Cheers,
GREG

No one else has experienced wobble with the 3401? I think it's pretty bad. The design of the bevel is cut at too much of an angle, IMO. Not enough support for the whole pad.
