hardened brake dust

I have chrome rims and have discovered I have what seem to be hardened brake dust on my rims. How do I go about removing this brake dust, when washing and waxing doesn't remove it?

Chrome rims? Sweet!!!

Try either the Brilliant Metal Polishes (the one for chrome) or the Master Formula polish. Simple to use and should bring the wheels up beautifully.

Get a sealant on those babies as well! Its worth the effort!

Meg's Wheel Brightner will melt away the caked on brake dust. Put a good sealant and you won't have this problem in the future.

+1. IME, Wheel Brightener can handle almost any amount of caked on brake dust. :2thumbs:
