I though I ran across a couple messages in the past talking about Klasse not binding to the surface if you use certain types of polishes under it. Is this true?



If you use the Klasse AIO which contains a cleaner and then follow with the SG should that always work no mater what you polish with since the cleaner in AIO should remove the polish residue?
 
Yes. A prep with AIO is one way. Most compounds like Finesse It or Fine Cut rubbing compound will also leave a perfect binding surface for KSG.
 
FWIW, right now I have 3 layers of SG over OEM One-Step on my truck. OEM One-Step is a Ron K/AutoInt product that is similar to AIO in what it does -- it is a cleaner/polymer sealant. As far as I can tell, the SG bonded OK. Each layer was easier to apply than the one before, and I gave it several days cure time between layers.
