Happy Birthday f150smith

Man, that car looks like my average wholesale lot trade ins interior. Sometimes, all that buildup of stuff hides the pretty clean carpet underneath. I work in a factory too, Fiber Optic Cable Maker.

Yikes that looks like the rental cars I used to drive frequently. Wrappers and peanut shells go in the back. :p Good job bud. I'll bet it smells a whole lot nicer inside too. :D
 
Reminds me of my 1985 Mercury Marquis (talk about a beater car) Looks like I treated it the same way. Every day to work I would get a cup of coffee and a seasame seed bagel, bag and empty cup in the back seat when I was done. I haven't had the car for over two years and my friends still LOL at the memories of me sweeping the PILES of seasame seeds off the seats with so they could sit down.

Two good things about cars like that.
  1. You can do pretty much anything you want in it. After all, you only have $200 at stake.
  2. No matter what you do, you can always find someone who will buy it for $200. :D

Nice pics. Reminds me of a Pinto my cousin used to have. we used to tell him that if all of the Kentucky Fried Chicken bones in the car shifted all at once, it would throw the car off the road.



BTW, I can't believe it's NOT RED. (of course, from the looks of that paint, it might have been at one time);)
 
Wow, $200! Can't beat that. However, if you use more than $200 in cleaning products to refurbish it, does that mean that the insurance company would consider it totalled? ;)

Hey red car guy, what the heck is power purple?



Browsing around some websites, the combat boots I will wear after recruit training will cost me $190 :scared The ones they will issue me will cost a little less at around $165 a pair :eek:



Also, how did you apply it? Spray on-brush then rinse, followed by a wet/dry vac to get most of the water off??

Power purple is a Cleaner that I got a wal-mart, got a gallon for a few bucks. It works ok but I would say that it is a little less strong than Simple green.....

I mixed the simple and power purple in an old Griots spray bottle with HoT water.. Mixed about 1/2 cleaners 1/2 water, sprayed it on, let it set a few min,Scrub with a brush, then shopvaced it out.. NOTe> I did sweep out the car Really good before I did that... ALso If you are going to try and Degreaser like Simple or Power try it some where out of sight first to make sure that it dosent stain or hurt the dyes in the carpet/searts...Any more ?'s feel free to PM Me::)

As for the paint I think you should go all out and see what some of the more abrasive compounds can really do.
