I have applied 303 to the leather seats in my car without any adverse effects to the leather. The leather in my car is clear coated, not sure if your furniture would be.



On clear coated leather, the 303 did give the leather a pretty high sheen, just so you know. It may also make the surface a bit slick for a short period of time.



Overall, I really do like the effect of the 303 on leather. Also, the back of the bottle does say that it is safe for leather. :bounce
 
You can use it on any car's leather seats.



I've never used it on home furniture though. I would hope that your home leather couches are not exposed to UV rays or freezing or 100 degree temperatures.
 
I have used Lexol, leatherique, and E1 leather conditioners on my household leather furniture...they all make em look good and no ill effects.
 
I don't know what is in 303, but I would use a product specially formulated for leather to be exta safe. If there are any cleaners in 303, they could accelerate the cracking/drying process of your leather. I know from postson this board that 303 is good for vinyl, so I'm sure it isn't too harsh - but I would still not risk it. Leather is expensive! My father and uncle owned their furniture manufacturing business and produced a lot of leather furniture over the last 40 years. They swear by Lexol and wouldn't use anything else.
 
303 provides protection, but no real conditioning that leather needs......especially your household furniture. Someone once told me to use olive oil mixed with water on my leather couch....doesn't make sense to me....I don't want to mix a salad on my couch....LOL



Anyone use saddle soap?
 
Saddle soap is very bad. It forces dirt into the pores of the leather. I wouldn't even touch saddle soap with a 6 foot pole :D
