Gum all over my black paint

I have a wicked big problem, there is chewing gum all over my black paint. I think it kicked up off my tire and is now all over my driver side fender and door. I did a search in the archives and found that peanut butter is good to take gum off paint. I am not sure how i should put the peanut butter on the car so my question is should i rub the peanut butter on the affected area or let it sit there for a while. I also have a clay bar would that work?

Yeah, I'd side with claying very lightly first. Use plenty of quick detailing solution and take your time. Thoroughly wash afterward. It's probably a good idea to re seal/wax when you're all done with that. Hope it works out.

Stoner's Tarminator might work, thats gotten some pretty nasty stuff of customer cars before. Then wash it with a chenille (and not a good one) mitt and a faily harsh soap (Z7 comes to mind). Clay, AIO/PB's Pro/any chemical polish, and LSP it.

Same thing happened to me last year, a rooster tail of bubble gum on my fender! Peanut Butter got it right off. Also ice or WD-40 will work well.

Hate is an terrible emotion. Normally based on fear or lack of knowledge.

Gum removal:

If no dirt embedded in such: clay with soapy lube solution

If infested with dirt: WD 40, gasoline or any mineral spirit (i.e kerosene) followed by claying. Cleanse/polish area. Re-apply protectant.

If DF Towels states peanut butter works, it works. :xyxthumbs
