Guess I'll wet sand my hood

The hood of my car is the only part I can never get to look the way I want, no matter what I use there.

It's all pitted, so, before doing a full paint job on it, I'll first wet sand, 1500 grit, and see what I can get out of it. If there's still enough clear coat I'll buff it and spot repair the larger rock chips using OEM touch up paint and maybe Mothers Paint Chip Repair.

If there's not enough CC left on it, after being buffed and polished a couple of times for the last year then I'll go for the paint job.

$14.50.

This is what is said about it:

No matter where you drive, chips happen. Rocks and road debris can pit your paint’s surface, creating unsightly marks and leaving your car vulnerable to rust and corrosion. Touch up paints can vastly improve the appearance of your vehicle, but tend to leave behind "blobs" of paint. Mothers new Paint Chip Repair-used in conjunction with matching touch up paint-will remove those blobs, leaving the surface perfectly smooth and looking like new. **For truly professional chip repair, pay close attention to paint drying time and buffing cloth instructions. Both are critical for absolutely smooth, seamless touch ups.
