This was a detail today on a 1988 Ford Van that has never been detailed at anytime to the owners knowledge. It had no reflection on the paint and the paint had no clear coat. The paint looked very dull and had the look like it was spray painted with primer or grey paint. Looking in the door jams I did notice it did have clearcoat in the unexposed areas still so I was not worried it was rattle can or grey primer.

how did you apply your test products, by hand or machine ? i know the griot's one step also has a cleaner/polish mixed in, the megs ultimate wax does not, and the nanoskin hydrophobic states that it has light cleaning and filling abilities with it's nano sized ploymers. the nanoskin definitely looked better in your test. that truck looked like it definitely needed a three step detail, pretty beat up.

all the products were applied by hand on a applicator pad. They were applied in the same direction..up and down direction. Yes that van was in sad shape.
