Griot's Paint Sealant

Does anybody have experience with Griot's Paint Sealant? I just picked up some and would like to know others' experience with it. Length of time to haze? Cure time? It also claims to possess swirl filling capability along with durability for year. If anybody has used the stuff, I'd like to hear your experience. Thanks.

any answer for this cure time question?

Well - I don't have it on hand... With that said, I'd suggest 12 hours at the minimum, but if at all possible wait 24 hours before washing or topping with anything just to be on the safe side.

tnx for the reply
I plan top it with AutoGlym HD wax
I think using Griot's sealant after polish and before waxing to get better durability

Sounds like a good plan. I do have the AG HD Wax, and am very pleased by the outcome I get when using it as a stand alone wax.

Agreed. I love the depth of Auto Glym HD. I've never used the Griots sealant, but I've topped Wolfgang 3.0 with AG HD and it looked great. I done this on my white Tahoe then a week later topped the AG HD with Nattys Red and the paint looked like glass.

I've been using Griots for about ten years and have experimented on various paints..single stage, base clear, laquer. The paint sealant I have always left on for an hour no more than two applied with foam hand pad. They say it can be applied by machine but I have gotten best results by hand. Even coverage is a must. It will streak especially on dark colors. It does have "some" fill properties. Easy on and off.

The instructions are a little vague and I have discussed this with them about cure time.
I have always waited till the next day before topping. Don't expect any help if you mention any other products to them.

As far as topping Griot's I have only tried Swissvax Saffir, and Griot's Best of Show. The best results were with the Best of Show and it too has fill properties and can be layered. The difference could be due to making their products chemically bond better when used together.(others do it too)

The Best of Show is a great wax but I have not been totally happy this past year as far as durability against sap and birds. Some reason it has been a bad year for that here.:wall

Hope this helps. I would be interested in the results you get with HD I have some just holding down the shelf for now.

thank you for your answers ;-)
I'm stack at preparation - touch paint phase for a while it takes a lot of time between layers to get chipped area even to paint level. It doesn't tame much my time, but wait time between applications.
Somehow weather was cold outside and it stopped me moving as fast as I planned.
I don't have space in my garage to work on my car.
If I apply Griot's Sealant I'll let it stay for 30 min and then remove / buff by hands and let it sit / cure overnight.
Then I'll apply HD wax.

my results

thanks for the help.
Those are resulting pics.
I did wash, clay, touch up paint, Meg's UC with 2 MicroFingers Pads, Griot's One Step Sealant with Griot's Orange pad (20h cure time), AutoGlym HD Wax with LC HT Crimson (red) pad.

Now I have to figure out how to clean Crimson from HD Wax?
So far it's in ziplock after trying to clean it by degrease and soap.

I like using Griot's paint sealant on the family suburban as it saves time from waxing it every 3-4 months. I also used on my xc70 which i used their best of show wax then the paint sealant to lock in the shine/gloss. I only use hot water to clean my pads to get clean, as soon as i am done with the detail.
