Griots Garage at Pep Boys??

While I was out making sales calls, I decided to stop at Pep Boys in Farmington Hills, MI, to see what they had in detailing supplies (it's the closest Pep Boys to where I live in Westland, MI)

I was surprised to see Griot's Garage products on the shelf, which they tell me they just got.

Drove to Miami for a family BBQ and ended up with a front bumper covered in bugs. Forgot to pack a bottle of ONR. Stopped at Pep Boy's and Spray On Car Wash saved the day. Thanks Griots. It's nice being able to get quality products OTC.

It is really nice to be able to get their stuff at AutoZone, etc., especially Interior Cleaner.
I only tried the foaming glass cleaner because I could get it there, and it turned out to be a great product.
 
Pep Boys here has always sold Griots, as does AutoZone and Advance (and now CarQuest since Advance bought them)
 
That is the most GG products I have seen at a store since Advance Auto Parts received them in their store. Early on they had a whole rack dedicated to GG and now it is maybe 3-4 products.

When I worked for Autozone we started carrying them and it was a huge deal for a lot of people, as they were searching it out. I was just buying it from Advanced up the street on lunch lol.
 
The Advance stores here carry some Griots, Ive seen a couple things at Autozone, I dont have a Pep Boys (that I know of), and the other parts store selections are mediocre at best. Well, thats not true, OReillys has the best selection of body work supplies (sand paper, tape, etc.)

I think Advance stopped carrying as much around here because I remember for a while they all having sales on pretty much everything Griots. Im kind of bummed I missed those sales because they had a few things I wouldnt mind trying.
 
They DO have the16X16 PFM Terry Weave MF in some of the Advance Auto stores in NJ.

I went and bought one after reading about it here. Its my new damn favorite MF towel lol.

I then came to Autopia and ordered the Big size Drying Towel. Works so nice and easy. Will be picking up more for sure.
 
I know this thread is 18 months old but

Constantly pep boys has 25-30% off sales on in store Griots, and Advance had a 25% off this month for any Griots including buffers shipped to home

The spray wax is awesome stuff, really gives that carnauba glow that no other seem to deliver.

Agreed, I love many of their products, but their spray wax is my top spray wax of the ones I`ve used!

My experience with Pep Boys.
- Things you buy online can NOT be returned to the store.
- When you return something mailed back to them they will NOT credit your account until you call them.
- Watch their online prices as they change daily on the same item.
- If they have a manufacture rebate PepBoys does not do it, they do not have paper work for it and when you call customer support they know nothing about it even though it is in their online flier, you must call the manufacture and work it out with them. Griots gets two thumbs up with this experience.
