Griots Engine Gloss

I have some and have used it. I like it for some applications mainly wiring looms and places where high gloss is acceptable. I think it is WAY too high gloss for overall use.

For overall use I think Stoners Trim Shine is a more appropriate product. It has a more OEM satin gloss, dries faster, has UV protection and will not crack off or form any shell coating.

The pic is of a very dirty engine which was not cleaned but sprayed with Trim Shine only. Works great. Good for wheel wells also.

man if that is a dirty engine i can't wait to see te clean engine! That Audi motor is spotless!

I just could not understand well enough : do you use that spray right away or first clean detail and then finish ?? What's the exact purpose ?

I use Caramba (German stuff) for my engine but have to clean and detail it first. And yes, I do not wipe it or alike...

However, I still prefer to dress electrical boxes and installation with an electrical dressing first.

BTW Brad, you proved you are King once again... Audi's gotta give you a trophy !!:bow

TrimShine is meant to be sprayed on a dirty engine with no worry of covering electrical connections or ECU's. You don't have to pre-clean. It's meant as a "quick-fix" way to make something look good. It is really great. It makes dirt "disappear". Magic!:shocked

Brad, as in this Griot's spray on shine?

Based on my learnings from you...303 is the way to go for a finishing touch of the engine bay.

Yes, 303 is still the best, most OEM looking dressing for the engine and most interior trim as well.

Griots is a spray on "coating", not a dressing that soaks it.

Quite well actually. I was surprised how long it lasted...in lack of better terms...when I first started using it.
