Griots Best of a Show Detailer?

Would you ever consider using Speed Shine instead of say a rinseless or waterless wash - assuming the car isn`t too dirty?
I used gallons and gallons of SpeedShine. It was my usual QD for years. Cleaning is not in the same league as Rinseless Washes. Period. FWIW, I only liked SpeedShine on (basically) natural waxes, not snythetic LSPs/sealants. I`d expect to feel the same about the BOS Detailer.

I have Blackfire Wet Diamond on my TA. The Best of Show looked awesome over it.

I would not expect any detailer to have the cleaning ability of a RR or WW wash, but what are you using now? Curious, why over a natural wax, not synthetic?

dschribs- Aw man, I`m so out-of-touch (not to just say "ignorant" :o ) these days...is the BF WD a synthetic like their AFPP? Not surprised that you liked the BOS on black, that`s the kind of color I`d expect it to be nice on (but not a color I`ve had/done since forever).

bob m- I had been using FK146 for my "it can actually clean stuff" QD, but ever since I started using (QD strength) IUDJ as my Drying Aid I`ve had to force myself to use up my gallons of QDs because they just don`t compare (gave away my SpeedShine lest it go bad). Whatever the IUDJ leaves behind looks at least as good *on MY PAINTS/VEHICLES to MY EYES* as any of the QDs I`ve used and leaves things at least as slick (I`m *really* tempted to just say "a lot slicker") while cleaning better and thus presumably safer. IUDJ, which I never expected to like for much of anything, has been a genuine game-changer for me, even though I don`t do Rinseless Washes.

Whatever stuff the SpeedShine leaves behind always seemed "wax-like" to me. Didn`t look quite right except on vehicles where I was using a wax on/going for "depth and jetting". I figured it might work that way too...like, be compatible with any wax but maybe not with every sealant. Eh, I`m used to stuff like KSG where you don`t want to add something incompatible to the mix and that might not *really* apply here, but I did it that way anyhow due to the look. So far, I`ve not had any compatibility issues with IUDJ. None at all, seems to play nice with everything (but I never tried it with KSG).

Specific QD appearance diff example- the old Einman Fabrik Clear Pearl was another "waxy" QD, advertised as having lots of carnauba. Similar to SpeedShine in many ways but thinner viscosity. Same beading/etc. characteristics, you can tell you used something that leaves stuff behind just like with SpeedShine. BUT...it gave a decidedly "brighter" look than the SpeedShine and left things slicker. . (Yeah you old-timers, I`m still using up my last big jug of EFCP ;) ). Not as bright as, say...FK425 or even FK146, but decidedly different from the SpeedShine. Both the SpeedShine and EFCP seemed to lack the (supposed) anti-static properties of the FK425, or maybe I should say they seem to attract/retain more dust (not an issue with IUDJ).

Sidenotes- I utterly *DESPISE* SpeedShine as a clay lube! That waxy ]whatever-it-is] compromises the efficacy of my clay so much that it`s hard to accomplish the desired decontamination compared to my other Clay Lubes. And it`s a mess on glass too, but at least it cleans off easily enough. No big wow on black trim/etc. either...for that I prefer ValuGard`s FastFinish if we`re talking QDs (though I kinda prefer Spray Waxes for that these days).

I picked some up last week and tried it yesterday on my black Frontier. I did a rinseless wash, wiping the cleaned section with a damp towel, then spritzed the section with BoSD before drying. It did work fine, though I had a few streaks on the hood (in the sun). Reworking the area in smaller sections fixed the streaking problem.
Something I did notice - it started raining as I finished half the hood. The BoSD side did not bead as well as the side that had not been damp dried, which seemed odd, as they claim is has wax in it.

I`m very surprised, because I have never had such a huge amount of beading from any other spray detailer.

To be more accurate, the side that had only been washed beaded way, way better than the side with BoSD applied.
