I'm Greg :)
I had a client who owned 2 of these G-Wagons, and wanted them both done in two days. Granted they were only 1 step corrections, but they are bigger than they appear
I started with the wheels using Sonax FE. It's a great gentle wheel cleaner. We all love the reaction we get from iron, though I didn't get much this time.
I moved on to washing. I went from the top down, so I needed to pull out a step ladder. I could use a platform but I kind of like having one hand on the handle. It allows me to not worry as much about falling off.
I washed and Nanoskined the rest of the Wagon and rinsed it thoroughly with a nice Pressure wash.
I towel dried the entire Wagon and followed up with the CG Jetspeed Blower. It really is great for cracks, emblems, mirrors, wheels etc. For the price its a great alternative to a compressor.
As you can see the paint condition was in pretty bad shape.
Even though this was a 1 step correction, I did what I could to get as much of the damage I could removed. Although not perfect it was much improved.
I then moved on to the carpets using Nanoskin dust collector gun. It works great on pet hair but just as well on dirty carpets. Not only does is vacuum but it also agitates using compressed air and a swirling effect.
I was using my foot to hold the carpet down so it didn't get away from me
Perfect no but these are original carpet and much improved. I also put some lines in as the owner wanted the "lines".
For the tires I used Garry Dean's Tuned Performance Tire and Trim Dressing. If you haven't tried this stuff yet, DO IT! I apply it with a sponge and then wipe with a MF towel, No sling and a great matte finish. This is one product that has become a staple in my detailing. If you haven't used it, please do.
Ok, I am sure I have bored you all enough, here are a couple of beauty shots.
The Silver G-Wagon came out just as good. I even threw in a opti-coating job on a ZO6 in those two days
As always, thanks for checking out my work!!
