New member
Happy to have become a new member. I am a hobbyist detailer (retired from the Telecom Industry) always looking to learn more about the art of detailing. Current vehicles are a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport (garage queen), and a 2015 Mercedes GLK DD.

Welcome! Where did you retire from? I'm also in the telecomm industry as my main gig
 
I worked for GTE Florida (later became Verizon) in Tampa, first as an equipment tech in various central offices (land line switching), then later in a network operations center. Started with electro-mechanical switching, then progressed to the modern digital electronic type. The first office I worked in had equipment made in the 1920's that was "adjusted" with a hammer and screwdriver. :-)

Huh, no kidding. I started on with Verizon just as they were taking over our area in Northern Illinois from GTE.

I left just as Verizon took over in Florida. We moved to Southern Illinois (Marion) in 2003 to help out a family member. It was also Verizon at that time, but sold out to Frontier a few years back. The industry sure has changed since I started way back when . . .
 
Yep, we're Frontier up here now as well. Worked storm duty in Marion a couple of times.

I've only been here for about 15 years now and it's changed a whoooole bunch just since I started.
