hello, i've been looking through this site as a non member ever since i bought my car. I'm just starting to get into detailing (as a hobby) because it's incredible and amazing to see how clean and beautiful a car can be (especially in the southern cali sun!). I'm a newbie to all things cars and i was learning a lot on my other car forum m5board(dot)com, but i always found myself coming back to this site for detailing inquiries. I just recently purchased a meg g110v2 and want to put it to good use (never used it yet, but will as soon as my meg #205 and sealant arrives).

I feel like in detailing, the end result is so rewarding because of the sweat, time, hard work, and lower back ;) that goes into the detailing process. I hope that i become somewhat good at this so i can "bring back to life" my family's and friends' cars.

Hoping to learn and progress. Cheers from socal.

Automotive original equipment (OEM) technology is becoming more and more complex requiring educated and skilled technicians to work on them. As the materials used are constantly changing we must maintain our knowledge base and utilize the correct products and application methodologies to keep up with emerging technologies.

It is very important to be able to recognise the various finishes and materials used as they all require different methodologies and products for proper care and maintenance.
