Green German foam pad

I just bought a PC polisher and the special green foam pad made in germany supposedly for German finishes. I intend to use it for waxing, but can I also use it to remove some very light scratches,using a light polish,from one section of my car('05 BMW 5 Series)?
 
I have one and use it exclusively for light polishing/finishing, mostly with FPII. It works well. Just make sure you clean it really well right after use, before switching over to wax. FPII washes out very easily, usually with just water, though I still use a little bit of citrus cleaner. Some polishes can leave a residue on the pad that doesn't wash out completely (especially if left to dry on the pad) and may leave the pad a little stiff - not ideal for wax application.
 
One pad per product is ideal. DO NOT use the same pad for both polishing and waxing. Wax by hand instead - it's pretty easy.
