Graphics - OVER wax/Sealant? How to avoid "Tanlines"?

Hi, its me again!,

Im buying a 2013 Fiat Abarth.



I will be installing the following graphics upon its arrival,.



checkerboard roof decals.

Abarth Windshield banner,

a 9x7" scorpion on the hood.





What Im worried about is FADE- Is 3-4 years from now I pull these graphics off, Will I see see ghost outlines if I seal with DG105 and top with collinite 845?



I remember cars back in the 80s, they would have windhshield lettering, and when you pulled the lettering off the "Tan-Lines" were TERRIBLE!, I want to try and avoid this type of thing.

I would say make sure when you get the car to get a nice shampoo that's citrus/acidic and strip the hell of out the car first so you have a good starting point. Apply the graphics when the paint is cool and dry and probably let it adhear for 4+ hours then apply 2-3 coats of your preferred sealant (here's where you don't cheap out, this is the last line defense for UV rays so get the good stuff that lasts 6+ months). Follow up with 2-3 coats of wax after that... remember to give the sealant and wax at least 30-40 minutes to cure PER COAT. If you really wanna get crazy put some filler in the middle, personally I like Black Light from Chemical Guys....

I ended up with DG 601 - 105. and collinite 845 ( i might just skip the 845 top coat so i can maintain the dg 105 and keep layering., but the 845 should work good on engine stuff, undercar such as struts, etc..)



my plan is

Wash/strip

iron-x

clay

dg601

dg105

12 hr cure time

dg105



then see how she looks.



The windhshield graphics. i guess i will have no control over is the lettering will ghost if i decide to take them off down the road.
