I created this a few months back and havent used it much. I don't know if its to plain or too much wording or if people are even going to read it.

What do you guys think? please feel free to critique everything, business name, packages, prices... all of it

I like it Don. I wish I could get those prices here!

Curious what you are using to coat the lights and polish the windshield.

As to the plain or too much wording...I'm no marketing wiz. I think it gets the point across.

Just standard flyer size? I'm sure its easier to read when its in your hand.

I like the numbering idea. It would help for someone to remember...ok I want the 3 package and associate a price they could remember with it.. IMO at least

headlights - opti lens
windshield polish - ceriglass and topped with rain x

thanks! tempted to to color it up some. im trying to think of a logo and color scheme

Hi Don,

it really depends on the market you are trying to reach ... 30+ years of Professional detailing, no one ever asked for a breakdown, they just wanted to know "how much"

I found that a magnetic business card was the best way to get and keep customers as paper and plain business cards tended to get lost and then they move on to the next guy.

Prices are reasonable, but again it depends on your target market and how busy you want to keep. My cousin had multiple vans in his business and did cheap work, but that's what his clients wanted
including dealerships where you need to be in and out to make your time count.

Me, I wouldn't get out of bed for less than $250+ and would spend a good part of the day doing what ever was needed. Some days it was all out paint repair and some days it was "detailing" or show
cars or high end cars or SUV's ...

It looks like you thought it out well, but the bottom line always comes to what kind of work you want to do and how much do you plan on making per day ... hope this helps ... feel free to pick my brain ;)

THIS. sometimes ill get a person who has seen this flyer and still ask "how much" so it made me wonder if it had complicated wording or people are just to lazy to read. was tempted to scrap the whole thing together and just have people ask.

I tried to price within the range of the popular local "production" detail shop in town. I only know of 1 other paint correction shop and he doesnt list any prices on his site. I feel I will increase my price in the next few months as business picks up.

THANKS!

Don't scrap it, but you might want to say a price + not give definite end price, you never know what you might have gotten yourself into ... these types of flyers are good when you get a booth at a car show and look for more deatiling work than just cleaning. I think it is well thought out, but only for those who want to read, such as forum members ;) i doubt many of your customers are on the boards :)

Look up what a call to action is. It basically tells the people what you want them to do. Call now to make an appointment with ph.num. Offset it with a different color, bolded. Split testing usually proves red phone numbers have a better %.

Don,
Very nice and concise Flyer... What size will the Flyer be ?

Question - what about Detailing the Trunk area ? Is that Included ? Sometimes, that place is a whole other disaster and sometimes it's not...:)

You should say Headlights rather than Headlight which could imply $75 each, etc...

Detailing Truth - No matter how well your make this - and yours is really nice - the prospective Clients are STILL going to ask you for pricing for several reasons, including that they just glanced at the Flyer and can't remember anything on it... :)

The idea then would be to get the Flyer into their hands to attract/generate interest/remind them/ that you are there and they can now talk to you about their vehicle/s...

Lastly, you need to Set the Client's Expectations Up Front ( in a friendly, professional manner) that pricing is just general and can change After you Inspect the Vehicle and then quote them the price/pricing, etc...

At this point, you will have studied the vehicle AND the Client's body language, etc., and figured out what you are going to say AND what you Might say if they push back, to hopefully bump them up to a higher R Level so that in the end their vehicle will be Stunning, and everyone Wins... :)

Great Job, Don, you are Moving this Forward !!!

I think the approach is very clever.
I like it. Pricing is your option and market area.
I do believe that "inspection" is necessary for final pricing.

will brainstorm some color scheme and logo, will update this in a few weeks with all the changes everyone is recommending.

Totally agree with whoever suggested a stronger call-to-action (CTA).

On the topic of a logo, don't overthink it and feel like you need a pictograph/symbol or anything like that. Sometimes a simple but well-executed wordmark is all that's needed, esp considering you have the word "detailing" in your biz name, they'll know what you do right away :)

wish you would have posted this sooner lol, been working for a week now on a logo.. its almost done now. will post it up once its completed

i thought about removing that package all together. no real money in just washing cars IMO

that may be true.....but in my area, there are a lot of retirement communities where the weekly 'wash only' customers are a good potential source of income......

ok guys, logo is in process but i need help deciding which one

1 is just text w/ a polisher symbol
2 is the cord of the polisher spelling out R5... the cord lines are all wiggly, dont know how to make it look cleaner

I like the first one. The second one I have to spend time making out. I don't believe that's a desirable trait in one's logo.
