Got the last jar of S100

Went to my local Harley Davidson shop and walked up to the S100 display. At first, I did not see any jars of the paste wax. On the bottom shelf was one remaining jar. Asked the salesperson if they were getting more--said yes, but were not sure when. They said since the weather had gotten better--the S100 wax had been selling very well.

I know my current jar will certainly last through this summer, but I wanted an extra jar at hand. Should I store the jar in the refrigerator? I probably won't use it till next year, so want a safe place to put it.:p

What is the reasoning behing storing it in the fridge?:nixweiss

I keep mine on a shelf in "MY" room... so I can admire it:bow

Refrigerating things slows any chemical decomposition and reactions, and also any evaporation of gases. Often solvents can escape right through the packaging products are stored in. If you have any old plastic bottles of chemicals in your basement you'll probably notice they looked sucked in and collapsed.

Refrigerating wax probably isn't critical and the basement is probably good enough, but it's generally considered better. Run a search on this topic as it's been discussed a lot in the past.

I will probably end up storing it in the refrigerator--just hope I don't end up buttering my toast with it some early morning!

And yes, got the last jar without battling with anyone. Though, there was a guy on the other side of the display looking at the other S100 products. I grabbed the paste wax and ran...

Take my wallet, take my wife, but leave me the S100!!!
