Got tar? Try Meg's Detailer Line APC

In a pinch, I've used it on wheels with no adverse effects. In fact it cleaned pretty well. For tires, I used a 1:10 ration and it did little to nothing for cleaning (I used a stiff tire brush). So I upped it to a 1:4 ratio and still I had dirt left. It doesn't work as well as A2Z IMO.

I did use it with my LGCM with good results, but I haven't used the machine in a while. I really prefer cleaning carpets and mats by hand.

When I think of an APC, I think of a product that can be used on all kinds of things, you know...an all-purpose cleaner, like Simple Green, etc., and that's certainly what's being discussed here. But if you look at the Meg's description of the APC, all they talk about is cleaning interiors. Is there some reason they target only interiors with this product?

Probably because Meg's also markets a "Body Solvent" in their Detailer line.

Specific product for a "specific" task with no real specific purpose other than exclusivity (read-$$$).

Which brings me to my intended inquiry : has anyone used the Body Solvent and how does it differ from APC?

If the APC works so well on exterior sludge , why mess with anything else ?

i bought the body solvent to remove some stuff i thought/think is tar. They are tiny, tiny specs that clay, alcohol, vinegar, etc etc have failed to remove. Body solvent onyl took away a few of them, but it does strip the paint nicely. Im sure if i had larger, less imbedded tar it would handle it very well.
