Got some new tires/wheels...Torq-Thrust D's...

LOL...TMac does have some good vision. ;) Actually, I'd say that's the 'detailer' in him. I find myself looking "into" the reflections of others photos often times just to see what I see.

Oh, and yeah, TMac is also right...I didn't dress the tires yet because I had taken them off right after the pics. I'm getting the fenders rolled this Monday. I'm still not confident that it'll solve my issues, but it should help. My buddy at the wheel place is ordering me a pair of 255/70-15's as they should be narrower so I'm hoping and praying that the combo of the fender roll and narrower tire will eliminate some of the rub. I do need some new shocks on this baby, so that's be my last ditch effort once I get some more money saved.

At this rate, I should have ponied up the 2k for the 20's I was contemplating. I went with the 15's to save me a few hundred bucks...plus I really wanted to go with this look.:wall

That shore is a perddy yeller car next to your truck TM :inspector:

And here's a few shots of the stang in the reflection...

Looks tough...completely changed the whole attitude of the truck. :rockon I haven't been on the forum for a while due to a move, so if I missed this in an earlier post, forgive me. But what made you to decide to dump the 20's?

As for the fender rolling, make sure the shop knows what they're doing...I just had mine done, the paint cracked, and I had to have it all resprayed...total pita. If I had it to do over again, I'd look into that tool you can rent for like $50.00 and done it myself. BTW, have you ever considered a roll pan? It'd look really smooth on there, IMO.

well, the 20's were on there were when I bought it and all were trashed with curb rash and pitted really bad.

And since my last full size pickup I had wanted another with a more old-school hot rod look...and this was my original vision the day I bought the truck.

I do plan to get a roll pan as well as a smoothie front bumper...just been saving for these wheels/tires since November when I bought the truck, so they'll have to wait a bit longer.

Glad you like it.

That rear tire don't look all that wide can't you use a wheel with more back set and make it fit.

That was my first option but this particular wheel only comes in 6, 7 & 8.5" widths and only 1 offset on each for this 5 on 5 bolt pattern. I have 7's up front and they won't be wide enough to look right on the back.

The fenders are getting rolled tomorrow so I'll know tomorrow evening how it works.

Got her back last night...fenders are rolled and clearance is just right now. All is right in my world for once.:rofl

Ran out tonight to grab a few new pics...

Lookin good! Any issue with paint crackin on the fender roll? If not I am so jealous...I swear body shops in the Pittsburgh area are just incompetent. :wall

Nah...I mean, the fender lip was already a tad rusty and flaking, but they rolled them and then put some black undercoating on them and it worked just fine.

I had already decided that if I had any issues with it, I would just repaint the bed. it's got a few spots I'd like to fix anyway...it would've given me an excuse. :lmfao

Looks awesome! So what's next on the list?

Thanks! Well, I'm hoping to scrape together enough money to get a new smoothie front bumper and rear roll pan before summer is over...not sure if it'll happen or not though. Then when I paint them, I'm going to paint the front grill and door/tailgate handles. Then she'll be about perfect...well, to me anyway.

I'd also like to buy one of those bedliner kits, like the brush on or spray on type. The bed looks really bad and without a tonneau cover it makes the truck look bad up close. If I could get the bed nice and black, it'd look 200% better than the crappy old scratched up bed.

And while I love those smooth painted tonneau covers (had a Snuglid on my prior 92 Chevy), I don't really want one only because it adds extra weight and the truck sits about right as of now. Plus I hate to spend 1000.00 or more for a cover for this truck being it's so old. Heck, before long I'll have more money "into" the truck than what I paid for it. Of course it wouldn't be the first time:rofl
