Not that the Legacy GT has a bad looking engine without these covers. Far from it. This looks pretty darn good I think:

However, things can always improve. I bought some engine covers that are used on the Legacy in Japan. I've always felt that they would be an improvement, and man these things are a huge improvement in the engine bay. I can't wait for next saturday when I get to show these off at a meet. Check em out!

That matte finish is thanks to Poorboy's Bold N Bright. Since CD2 is pretty much impossible to find around here, I figured it was time to try something new. It isn't the same shiny wet look as CD2, but I'm not complaining. This looks great too!

Just some creative photoshoping. ;) I did this before for the front page graphic of one of my websites. I just like how it looks.

The covers are definately sharp looking.
Shame certain things are only available on overseas models.

I like the PS work on the last shot very cool

Having done plenty of show/studio/location prep work for the new car auto advertising industry, I will attest...your prep, photo & post production skills are top notch!! super nice work!!

I love that look. It makes everything look so much cleaner and neater. Were they very expensive?

Not terribly. About a hundred bucks for the pair. That isn't really bad considering they had to be imported and all. Nothing JDM is cheap anyway... lol

Thanks for the compliment. :) I try.

I had to do a double take to see what the difference was.

After looking, the covers are really sharp. I wonder why the covers aren't used in the US.

Well done.

That's pretty nice. One thing i did not like about the new Mustang is the Intake Manifold had nop cover on it. Luckily the aftermarket is on top of things and I was able to get one painted to match.

Getting tired of me asking yet?

whaaa??? A member on DC within driving distance from me had a Saleen and I didn't know about it???? That ain't cool, man... I love those cars. They couldn't really do anything to make the 99 - 04 Mustang look better, but the 94-98 Mustangs with the Saleen work on them were H-O-T hot. I'd love a convertible 97 Mystic Saleen someday...

If i understand you correctly , you got those beautiful results using PB's Bold & Bright tire dressing on the underhood components ?

Anthony: I like the additions a lot!

My new bay is similar in that most of it is covered, however, if you are going to cover, might as well make it uniform. This sure helps the look, yet keeps a clean OEM appearance.

Nice choice!

That's correct. You can tell by that top picture that was done with CD2 that the Poorboy's Bold N Bright isn't anywhere near as shiney, but it does make the engine bay look good.
