Got my pinnacle kit. Am afraid!!!

Got my Pinnacle kit today from Autogeek and am nervous about the Advanced Swirl Remover. I rubbed some between my fingers and it is much grittier than anything I have used befor. I am planning on using it on my mothers badly swirled Metallic Red Seibring. Can I cause damage since it is so gritty? I will be using a PC. Also, what pad should I use? Cutting or Polishing?

Thanks

Does it break down when you rub it between your fingers? Poorboys SSR's are like this. No problems, as they break down quickly--sometimes TOO quickly (including SSR3).

Didnt really rub it that long. I find PB to be a little less gritty. I have only used SSR1 and SSR 2.5 so that is my frame of reference. Should I be nervous? Any tips on how to use it?

Start out with a polishing pad and see if it does the job. If not, move up to a cutting pad. I really don't think that there is anything to worry about.

It is very hard to do damage to a finish using a PC. It the Click & Brag section there is a nice write up of these products.

It's a PINNACLE product have a little faith.I used a lot of PINNACLE products and are very impressed

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine. Just follow up with the Swirl Remover afterwards to remove any marring caused by the Advanced Swirl Remover.

While i havent tried it yet, the first thing i did was smell and feel the 2 SMR's, and ur right, the A-SMR has particulate u can definetly feel. Ill try it as soon as i can, but its definetly different feeling.

I like the advice above. First use the PC with a white polish pad. I used a rotary (set to 1000-1200) with a yellow cut pad and ended up with a VERY nice wet finish, but under the halogens (flashlight) I had a lot of marring. I need to go over it with a very light polish to see if I can work it out.

Since you received the kit, I'd try the swirl remover first vs. starting out with the advanced swirl remover.
