Got my new baby.... soooo confused! 56K warning!

that is a magnificent machine!! WOW! Love the colors.

You should worry less about the detailing and get behind the wheel and enjoy!!

Get it dirty so you can justify spending hours cleaning it! :D

Good advice on the wheels. However, I might add that if you don't feel like taking the wheels off a second time, just wash and do the outside the second week. The protection will still be there, but the second coat will give you better shine. And remember not to use any wheel cleaners after you do the SG, or it will be removed. Just a wash mitt and carsoap will do. You'll see.

Okay, now I feel a bit better. I'll only be removing the wheels once. If my wife saw me removing the wheels 2 or 3 times, she'd have me committed.

She already thinks that my washing the car the day I brought it home was way over the top....

Your most important step will be buying proper mitts and towels and learning how to keep your finish scratch, swirl, and marr-free.

Wash correctly, clay, seal/wax and you should be set. The products you use are only a minimal part. You'll have to try some different things and see what you like best.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Don't worry, Alex. You should have seen my neighbours' faces when we brought home the WRX with plastic on all the body panels in the dark, and proceeded to wash, clay, and AIO the thing. We were going on a trip the following week so I wanted to get the Klasse regiment started. So I worked until 11 PM that first night, after bringing it home at 7 PM. :)
