Got my Mytee 8070 extractor today...pics

Nathan, Can you tell me how many watts the 8070 draws when everything is running? I looked for this info but could not find it.

TIA!

The 8070 runs on standard 115V power. We can make 220/230V units - they are typically special order items though.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.

And welcome to Autopia mate:welcome

Nice! that looks smaller than I expected it to be. If it was drained, can it be stored (say in a hatchback) on its back or side? Or does it always have to be stored upright? Too bad the hand tool doesn't have a clear plastic so you can see if what you're pulling up is still dirty or not.

I was told by the guys at Detail Supply Outlet, an authorized Mytee dealer in San Diego, who aren't far from the Mytee factory and sell these units all day long, that once you start using the machine, they should only be stored upright. If someone from Mytee or somewhere reliable can debunk that, then I'll accept it, but until then I will only store my HP60 upright as I consider DSO to be a very reliable source of information

BTW, congrats on the purchase. I just got my Mytee a month or so ago. Makes cleaning interiors fun! :up

A friend of mine abuses his truck. I figured with the extractor I'll take a shot at it. WTH was I thinking?

Freakin' Nasty!!!

Took the seats out and it did not get any better:

I got the center console out.

Took me 2.5 hours to vac and APC steam all the plastic. :nervous:

For the carpet I pretreated with ultra pac and citrus solve. I then lightly brushed to work the chemicals in. Let dwell for 15-20 mins.

Extract with dry slurry, its a powder .5oz to 3 gallons of water.

After the first extraction:

I then broke out the stain magic and sprayed it on the edges when the coffee is. Covered the areas in plastic as per the directions. Then worked on the seats:

No pretreat, just 2-3 times extracting with dry slurry.

Went back and extracted the stained areas when I applied the stain magic. Looking better at the coffee areas, but I was hoping for better results. The large stain at the drivers feet was not effected by stain magic as much as I hoped. So I tried Red One. Sprayed it on and worked it into the stain with light action from a brush. Let it dwell for about an hour covered with plastic.

I was down to about a half gallon of the dry slurry/water mix in the tank. So I just added 1.5 gallons of water to the mix.

The area at the drivers feet looked better, but I am still not happy. I guess I better get used to the fact that if stains have been sitting for 1-2 years, they are not going to come out. :doh

So then I setup the fan to dry and now I see this.

:hairpull :grrr :wall

Stains are sticking out like sore thumb.

I did a dry vac and it seems to have removed most of the soap residue. I think tomorrow I will do another extraction with all fiber rinse.

I would think you'd have better luck using the stain treatments on the carpet when it's dry, before the treatment of the whole carpet and extraction. Major improvement overall though!

Did another dry vac today. Then applied stain magic to some of the stains. Placed a white towel over the area, then hit it with the steamer or you could use an iron. So far it appears that has pulled more of the stains out, as the towel has stain residue on it. So one more extraction with all fiber rinse coming up. The stain magic still had no effect on the large stain.

I then did another extraction with the all fiber rinse 4oz to 3 gallons of water.

Looks much better now, drying the area to see if the stains or residue come back.

Found out from the owner that the white powder was carpet fresh from a few year ago. Seems his dog had an accident in the truck back then. :scared:
