Got a question for you mobile detailers, or the people that detail outside.
What do you use for a car cover to buff the cars outside? I always wonder how mobile detailers buff there cars outside, because i know you shouldn't buff a car under the sun. for one your wax can bake into the clear also paint loves warmth, so it would be easy to burn the clear also.
Why i ask this question because i currently got laid off on my job, and i tryed to detail in my garage but there isn't enough room to work around the car. Best thing i could do is work outside. so im looking for a easy carport that sets up real fast and easy to take down. any suggestion where i might find something like this for cheap?

Thank you

You want a pop-up tent like you see at street fairs. There are a few on the market, the better ones are about 100 bucks. That will give you enough shade to work the car and they don't take much to put up and take down

One word. Poorboys. Before I found their products, I dreaded working in the sun because I knew what I was in for. With PB stuff, working in direct sunlight isnt an issue at all. In fact I prefer it now as long as its not 105 degrees and miserable out. Its nice to have a shop or a cover to work under, but with the products that are available now, problems that we've dealt with for years such as direct sunlight are a thing of the past.

This is a picture I grabbed off a google search. It's 10x10 but you may need something a bit larger.

I can second that!

Interesting, I think I might have to try out some Poorboy's products shortly then

I know in the waterless like products PB's did much better on warm surfaces in the sun (no streaking) compared to DP and Adam's versions I had used.

PB S&W seems to remove quicker. I am not sure it cleans better or slicker than others but I could use it in the sun so I keep some around. I also like it because it has minimal impact to LSP in terms of adding gloss. It is just a cleaner.
