Got a great Compliment Yesterday

Unfortunately his response is symptomatic of a general lack of respect for real auto detailing. Due to lack of any certification required to become a so called "professional auto detailer" anyone with a bucket and a can of wax can call himself a pro. The low cost of opening an auto detailing business also attracts a lot of people to the business who should never be touching anyones car. Your response was right on the money. If someone says that to me I try and be diplomatic about it and explain what we do as opposed to the hacker on the next block and if the person still doesn't get it let the door hit em where god split em. I have zero tolerance for people that disrespect the time, energy and education that go into properly detailing a car.

I agree that you handled the situation very diplomatically. My hat's off to you. It is quite evident that you take great pride in the work that you do. Keep it up and don't let anyone prevent you from doing otherwise. And if he does come back and says that he could have gotten the same job done cheaper, you don't need him. Just as Scottwax said. Just remember that if he comes back to you wanting a detail, and decide whether or not you want to do it. Trust me, he'll be eating crow.
 
I ALSO RECIEVED A GREAT COMPLIAMENT TODAY I DETAILED AN EXPEDITION ABOUT A WEEK AGO THAT WAS TRASHED I USED SOME BLIZ OMAGA GLAZE WITH THE PC AND TOPPED IT OFF WITH THE S100 ,SO THE LADY ASKED ME WAS SHE GOING TO GET ALL THE MONEY BACK I TOLD HER YES,SO SHE CALLED ME YESTERDAY AND TOLD ME THAT THE FOR LEASING MANAGER WANTED TO KNOW WHO SHE GOT TO DETAIL THE SUV AN SHE TOLD HIM THAT I WAS HER SECRET WEAPON SO HE ASKED HER FOR MY CARD ,BECAUSE HE HAS NEVER SEEN A SUV DETAILED LIKE THAT WOW.
