76* and partly cloudy today. Simply stunning weather for a late September day. I took off of work because I needed to do a bit of maintenance (check coolant problem and re-bleed clutch).

I ended up detailing as well...Go figure.

Started off with my teg. I haven't really done a full interior job in about 4 months. I did the seats and doors about 2 months ago, but I went all out today. My final processes were:

-Oxy/APC+ Mix on mats and carpets

-Water:Woolie on doors, dash, seat, and trim

-4* Leather Conditioner on seats

-303 on dash, doors, and trim

-Bold 'N Bright on plastic trunk trim

For the exterior, I just S+W'd it and AA'd the tires/wells. I am currently still at FMJ x 1. Haven't really had a chance to layer yet, but I will eventually.

Pumpkin Z next ;)

Next, a 2003 edit Lemans Sunset 350Z that belongs to a good friend of mine. I have been helping him with caring for it since new.

It hasn't really needed a polishing and we haven't had too much time with it either, so we chose the best course of action for almost no time.

About 2 weeks ago we S+W'd and then threw a coat of Natty's on. Today, we had a bit of time so we threw a second coat of Natty's after S+W'ing, then dressed the tires and wells with AA.

This thing is absolutely drippy wet with very good depth and clear reflections showing the flake in a pretty blatant way

I just love this color :)

I cant imagine taking a day off and detailing on it! that makes you the man. When i take a day off, i just sleep or do back work. I try to avoid the car at all costs! :p

Looks great Sean. Can you go into detail on the mixtures of the

-Oxy/APC+ and the Water:Woolie?

Wow! That Z looks incredible! There is just something about curvey fenders and wet paint! Great color too. I don't think I've seen one like that before.

BTW, it looks like you need to polish out your hood a bit, the paint looks kind of cloudy. ;)

I've been waiting for pics of a Sunset LeMans 350z, now I finally get to see some! Great detail! I think I'm going to pick up some Nattys now b/c I love the way it brings out the color... though mine probably won't look that good, I am looking to try some new things on it to see which I like best. (I have a 350z sunset lemans painted Del Sol)

you forgot to pattern your carpet. ;):D how do you like the FMJ as compared to the EX w/caranuba? and the Z looks awesome! great job!

Both cars look awesome man. I'm always amazed at how shiney your car is considering it's red, a darker car could be jealous of that shine.

Wow...Thank you for all the compliments. My friend appreciates them too. I remember when he told me he had to "settle" for the color instead of Redline Red (think thats the name)...I love both colors but this one is way more unique. He loves the color now.

tpgsr: I moved the car once. He offered to let me drive it, but I want to do it on a really nice day when I have time.

As far as my day off, it was from my other job as a computer tech at the college I go to. Everything seems to revolve around detailing though :)

carcrazy22: Sorry about that. The box is cleared out now. Try again. S+W on the wheels.

lpquick: I have not been disappointed with Natty's at all yet. You get a lot of product for a little money.

dafowl: Yeh 2 Z's in 3 days. This isn't normal, but I'm not complaining.

Scott: You are KILLING me with that pic :lol . I keep scrolling over it since I'm in a public area. Yeh the color is amazing and Natty's worked wonders for it.

The clouds really became sexy at the end of the day so I had to snap that pic of my hood. :)

TechSol: You won't be disappointed. I didn't polish out the paint either. It was only lightly marred and not much time, so obviously when I polish him out before winter, I will post pics of probably an even more vibrant orange.

hirosh: No designs in the trunk, because once it dried, ALL my detailing supplies went back in. Then you can't see a thing.

I did my lil review up top on FMJ. I haven't recieved as many compliments on it, but that doesn't bother me. I feel like the color is deeper even though it didn't deepen my paint. A couple threads ago I posted my car next to my girlfriends Saab and they had similar combos and looked very similar. Now I parked next to her this morning in the sun and my car looked a helluva lot deeper with a ton more depth. Once I clean her's up a little more (dusty), I will make a better conclusion. :)

Yur work is very inspiring. Great job. i love seeing your details. Everytime i see them i think "ok well... he is really good at what he does so this detail will be awesome. Don't be surprised, you know it will be good" but everytime i see another detail, i am still shocked at how good it looks. keep it up.:bow :xyxthumbs
