Goodbye for a little.

This is speculation on my part, but I know that Barry made a thread regarding a new product that he had been trying, and he posted a link to where it could be purchased. That thread was deleted, so I can't help but wonder if that had something to do with it?

Anyway, Barry was very helpful and spent personal time with me on the telephone with some tips on what pads and compounds to use on a lacquer paint project, and I really appreciated it. Thanks Barry!
If what your saying is true I really can't blame Autopia or their sponsors. Barry is a great guy and a value to this forum, but the fact remains that sponsors help support this site and want to sell their products not someone elses. Take AG, no posting of other sites and they encourge you to talk about the products they carry. Autopia is a little more tolerant in that case.

I couldn't possibly disagree with you more. If Barry was actually trying to push a product that he sells, that is a different story. That was not the case here, as far as I know.

Too bad, one more valued member gone.

But my eyebrows did raise a little when he posted that thread, and I did check out that website and I might order that product and it might have to do with that thread.

Listen guys to clear things up. I do NOT work for any detailing supply company. I was not banned from Autopia by DavidB. Nor was I asked to take a leave. In fact David is a great guy from the best of my knowledge threw the few PM's I had with him. I deleated thread I posted about HiLustre for my own reasons. Please don't let this thread get out of control. I'm taking a break from Autopia for a few personal reasons. Simply put I just need to dedicate more time to my wife and kids. My life has been really busy as of late between work, helping others threw phone calls and pm's. Detailing has really begun to take over my life. A lot of my time over the last year has gone to this business. I always try and help others when possible, and I always try and throw out what I beleive. Some of the write ups I do take a lot of time. I'm glad you guys have learned from them as well as enjoyed them. Simply put I just need some family time. I wish you all the best of luck.

Barry

Go bro. Fk the clowns here. Family and health first.

Your name is out there, the business will continue to grow from word of mouth.

We just had twins a month ago, I haven't posted much in the past 6mos and never had more business.

This whole thing is strange to me? Barry creates a great review thread about Hi-Lustre polish, >>then Jakerooni makes mention of how there's been speculation on-line in other threads about of how M105's technogy was stolen from Hi-Lustre>>I ask Jake to produce links to these other threads to back up his rumor>>>thread deleted by creator. Don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but if so, sounds like an interesting revelation. Maybe Jake knows the real story?

It is obvious that Barry has provided information as to why he started this thread and his departure for personal reasons. Perhaps it is best to take things for what they are and no post silly speculations.

Bag of worms there...

....it's hilarious that even with Barry's explanation, the conspiracy theorist still try to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

I wish you and your family well Barry. Like others, I have benefited from your input in these forums. Thanks!!! :) Happy Holidays.

I don't know why Barry has decided to take a break but I know for certain 105 was not taken from Hi-Lustre. Company techs talk all the time, but only about principles involved, never about specific product formulations or even more than what's available to any end user.

If you want to know all there is to know about any product, all you have to do is ask the person selling it. They'll spend all day explaining how to use it and why that product is different and better.

Best of luck Barry! May you and your family be blessed! You will be missed.

Now which one of you full time pro's are going to step up and start sanding your customers cars so we can all get our weekly fix. lol.

I just found this after a Google search. It is from the New England Journal of Medicine, issue October 2009, check it out:

There is a new strain of conspiracy theorists popping up across the nation, the “Detailus Genius”. The "Detailingus Chemicapped Wanna-B-Specialista" is the official medical name as per Dr. Aldo Cello of the Touro School of Pharmacy. These "DG's" as they are casually referred usually suffer from a rare ailment called KPS, or Kindergarten Pns Syndrome. KPS is when a certain appendage in the male species discontinues physical development at the age of 6.

KPS is usually compounded with KWS, or Kindergarten Wallet Syndrome. This is when the affected species has as much need for a wallet as a 6 year old child. In many cases (>60%) KWS can result in a mild to strong headache, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and permanent blindness.

Take precaution: Treat these lonely and fragile introverts as abusively as possible. Ignoring them compltetly has proven 100% effective. The need to knock sense into them is tremendous, but refrain and the virus will cease on its own.

Please do your part in putting a stop to this rare strain of weak and useless virus.

Good Luck Barry.

Thanks for all of the wonderful threads with the detail work you have done. They have been both inforamative as well as a great motivator for people like myself that are here learning how to better care for their own vehicles.
