Well, glad to finally have a place to learn the other side of the car world now. I have been around cars my entire life but only on the dirty side of things as body panels were just for holding wiring in. My current car is an E92 BMW coupe in Alpine white with a jet black roof which has been the reason of my new found idea of a better clean. The wheels don't help either as they are M3 Comps which collect a lot of brake dust.

I'm learning quickly that there is a bug which flows through people on this site and it makes it possible to spend way too much time getting clean. How much time do people usually spend on this and when do you just find a balance? I really

welcome to AF. I think most of us here like to strive for excellence when detailing and true excellence takes time. the nice thing is that once you put in the extra effort, maintaining what you have is much easier. like your wheels and tires, once you get them properly cleaned, coated or sealed, they will be much easier to clean the next time and I think that's where the balance comes in.

Thanks! I can see your point with the sealed cleaning being best.

Ronkh- I guess your life just revolves around the details a bit more often, eh?
