Good bye Jetta hello 370Z

Well I pulled the trigger on a new Nissan 370Z in Carbon silver, Platinum Graphite in the US, Charcoal interior with the new 7 speed auto with down shift rev matching. It's time for the 03 VW Jetta GLI to find a new home. It's been on order for a month now, as they are hard to come by. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Well I finally got the 370Z yesterday. A 7 month wait, but it's here. I did a light polish with a black LC pad with M205 which really brought out the paint. The dealer never touched the car so it was perfect, but the light polish was an improvement. Tomorrow I will be sealing it up and hope to take some photo's, weather permitting.

Excellent choice. Enjoy your new car. I myself got a 2009 Nissan Skyline 370GT (which has a same engine and a similar trans like yours) and I am more than pleased with it. It's way faster and more powerful than my previous car RX-8.

That would be an Infiniti G37 in the USA. Where do you live?

Thanks, I'm really enjoying this car. I get to drive a lot of cars with my detailing hobby, and have to say this one ranks "really" high on the list.

Congrats on the new 370Z.

Did you get it up in Nanaimo or at Vic. Nissan here in Victoria?

When the weather gets good and the sun comes out, bring it down to Vic. and show it off.

It'll be easy to find you - I'll look for a real shiny 370Z and a guy driving it with a huge ear to ear grin.

Enjoy, and I'm envious,

I bought it in Nanaimo. Vic would not budge on the sticker price, where as in Nanaimo I paid only 2K over invoice. Any how, I can't say enough about this car, it's awesome. I just got back from a nice hour long drive in the rain, and now my wife says I have to go get some milk :D.

I sort of get the impression Vic. doesn't budge much on price with their high end vehicles. I play hockey with one of the mechanics there, he really knows his stuff but he's not in sales at all.

Good point about the new car and looking for reasons to drive it.

That reminds me, I need another liter or two of egg nog. Care to make a trip for me? You can test it out on the Malahat and see how it handles through the S-turns through Goldstream Park. Nanaimo to Sidney and return - about 120 miles? That should take you about 20 minutes in the 370.

OK, just kidding about the egg nog. I'm still envious,

Don't tempt me ;). Actually I'm having a guy from Vic come up and clear bra the car for me, so I don't want to take it on to many long trips until that's done. But then I could be easily persuaded to get some egg nog.

Steve.
