Alright so ima give the foam pads a shot. Got some poorboys pro polish to use on my truck this weekend.

My truck don't really have any scratches. Just minor spiderwebbing.

I'd like to get 2 pads. one for removing light spiderwebbing,and scratches. And one for the final pass to get that perfect finish.

I don't want a hard foam pad, i'm looking for something like the 3M perfect it pads, how they are a flexible foam.

Anyone??
 
I like the Edge system, but haven't tried either the Edge 2K system or the new edgy Edge ones. I've also used some 3M pads, Farecla, and another unnamed paint company brand (just can't remember). Lots use LC and Meg's here.
Honestly, except for pads that fall apart, I haven't heard any complaints about any of them here.
 
LC pads are my favorite. Am going on two years with these pads and have had not problems. The new Propel 2 pad is another that is doing very well.
 
Thanks for all the replies guys. But i should have been more specific. I want to help the sponsers out so what ever they have i'd like to get. Maybe the edge pads?

I don't know with all the colors,numbers, and all that good stuff so help me out with that. I need one for mild cutting/polishing? just to remove minor spiderwebbing. And one for the final pass, you know to get that perfect shine.
 
I've used both the LC and Edge pads and both are great (but I found the edge pads are softer).
If you are going with edge pads, green is a lite cut/polsh, blue is a polish pad and white is the finishing pad.
For LC Orange is the lite cut, white is polishing and black is finishing.
I know that Dwayne carries both lines, but I think that AG only carries LC

Yes they are decent pads. In Canada they are $35.00 CDN a pad. They aren't that good that I will pay that for them.
 
Is this your first time ordering pads for a PC?

If it is then that is different. If I were ordering pads for the first time I believe that I would consider using the Edge sytem as well. Lots of product choices. Many testimonials about good service of the pads and also a commited team behind the pads. Every little bit helps.

Was almost a convert the other day to the Edge system. I am just so heavily invested in the hook and Loop system it is hard to break away.

Which ever you chose the work will get done.

Jay has given excellent advise about the Edge system. In fact, refer to his pad chart to get almost any info you need to order from our sponsors.

Whoa! That is expensive. I can get them here for $11 USD each if I order a couple cases (6 per case) from my distributor.
 
I would suggest the LC Pads also and either the White or even possibly the black for the light polishing Not sure the black will be enough pad though. Followed with the Blue for the final product. I use the ones that Wolfgang and most of the other sponsors sell. I prefer the flat ones to the concave ones that they use to make.

I would again suggest the 6 inch Edge pads.. If you want only one I would get the green/blue combo. the green foam is light cutting so it's kinds stiff but the blue foam is really the softest foam I have used.

Pads I have handled/ used

LC pads in cutting/polishing/finishing
LC tuffted pads in cutting
3-m Waffle polishing pads
Megs soft buff polishing pad
edge pads in 6 and 8 inch foam and wool.

If your sure you only have LIGHT stuff to deal with then I would go for the blue/white combo
 
Edge 2K pads :bigups

I've got both wool and foam sets, I really like both a lot. The blue foam pad is awesome for lite polishing and swirl removal. Both the green and yellow pads work great on cars with moderate-severe flaws. If you really want to be impressed, buy the whole kit with Presta polishes. Their swirl remover leaves an incredible, swirl-free gloss with the blue Edge pad. There's a thread about the Edge 2K system, I started talking to Aaron about the whole kit, you can probably find a little more info on the Presta kit there if you're interested.
