Gonna finally have Klasse!

Good luck with the Klasse, I'm sure you will be pleased with the results. Make sure you apply the SG very thin or you might have a hard time removing it as you might have read about. I have found that a film thin enough to hardly see after it dries is not too hard to remove. A towel spritzed with a QD or water is helpful to break the film surface and then removal is easier after that. After you get comfortable in applying SG you can put it on thin enough to where it buffs off effortlessly. Good luck. On a different note, I use to have an 89 745TI that I let go that now I wish I hadn't, that was a great car, should have kept it. I got a kick out of "organ donor"

Thanks for the tips -- I begin getting nervous when I read all the posts about SG being difficult to remove, etc. I'm very new to "upscale" detailing (previous experience being the cheap stuff from Walmart - ashamed to admit!) But if I hate it I'm only out $15, right? Thank goodness for samples! For rather, thank YoSteve!



I'd love the 745T to not be an organ donor, but our 16 year old rear-ended a Toyota pickup about a month ago, and that was the end of our 7 year relationship (the car, not the son) - very sad - I had hoped to drive this car until it completely fell apart. We've been selling parts on ebay, and there's not much of her left. :(
 
Depending on the original condition of the paint, Klasse AIO can sometimes be difficult to buff off. I've done a couple cars where Klasse just wasn't working out well at all. On cars that have been waxed in the last year Klasse works like a dream. SG is a little tricky to get the hang of but its a very worthwhile trick to know. If Klasse wasn't buffing off well then I would doubt that Zaino would be any eaiser. Of course, now that you have a layer of Klasse on your car, the Zaino might buff off eaiser. I've always been able to figure out why Klasse didn't bond properly, and other than those 3 or 4 cars that were in rough shape to begin with, I've always been very happy with Klasse. Especially with a carnuba topper. Yummy. :D

I had waxed my car prior to using Klasse (a month or 2 before).. and it had been waxed prior to that as well.. Waxes came out easily with a MF cloth where Klasse did not.
 
I've clayed, hand polished, and waxed my car just over the last week, so this should help with the Klasse? The paint wasn't in terrible condition, but did have some surface scratches, hatch marks where the previous owner had sanded a nick in the paint. Most of these came out, but some remain -- I'm afraid some will require paint one day when I have the $.



Although they remain, I still want a super shine to the car.



If I'm understanding what I'm reading - I'll need to wash the car to remove the wax before the K? Is this right?



Then I do plan to top with carnuba -- if nothing else, it's a great workout! :)

Maybe you got a bad batch of Klasse. What kind of crap is Steve feeding you? ;) I can't imagine why the Klasse wouldn't bond. You've got to try it again with another car at least once so you can make a comparison to Zaino. Who knows...? Maybe Klasse will look better but Zaino will be eaiser to apply for you. Don't count Klasse out yet.

After reading this site, I am now a Klasse user, and just received by Pinnacle Kit yesterday.



I had no problem removing the first two coats, planning to put 2 more on ASAP before topping with Pinnacle. I was previously using Meg. Gold Class.



Prior to starting the Klasse treatment, I washed with Dawn, then clayed, washed again with shampoo, then 2x AIO and followed with 2 layers of the sealant. All was with ease in 2 hours.



The car color treated is Milano Red, Acura Legend. Maybe it is a chore to buff off a black car?



I used Meg. QD as my lube, does this product have carnuba in it? I think I'm going to use water only to put the next 2 coats of sealant on.
 
Black is a little less forgiving. The streaks and smears show up much worse on a black car. I had a hard time buffing the Klasse on my white car because I couldn't see the haze. I definatly couldn't see the smears. I don't think the color itself should have made the work tougher to do though. Maybe its harder to get the look just right but the effort should be the same in buffing. I'm going to be confused about this one all day I think.

Make sure you wash with Dawn, (to remove\break down the wax) and then you might want to re-wash with a quality car shampoo after that to make sure there is no Dawn residue left behind. The Klasse won't bond correctly over the carnuba. Maybe that might be part of Mindfluxe's experience. On the 745 issue, I should have kept mine for my 16 yr old who's about to start driving, you probably had a similar idea giving yours to yours, hope he is ok. Now I have to get him one but he'll be settling for a 240. If you plan on doing multiple layers of SG you may want to wait at least 24 hours b'tween layers. In my experience that appears to have yielded better results than two or more layers per day or detailing session but like some methods and product use here, you find different schools of thought. You can experiment in any case and increase that workout :)
