Go Gators!!!!!

OK I'll take a wild stab at it 41-14 Gators :D :bubba

and they'll be ranked #1 afterwards too

I'm a Georgia fan, so it comes easy to me being a Gator hater, but I was pulling for Florida last night because they are in the SEC. I had a few little bets that Florida would win, but who would've thought they would destroy them. The SEC gets the shaft every year. I would say the SEC is by far the toughest confrence in college football. Yes Ted Ginn being out may have had a small part in their loss, but the big diffrence in the game was the Florida defense. Their front guys were way to much for that Ohio o-line. It hurts me to say this, but Congrats to the Gators and all thier fans!

Ted Ginn Jr. being hurt on the first play had a lot to do with the outcome of the game IMO. You can't really say he isn't an impact player either with that returned kickoff to start the game off. I still say that the Big Ten is the best conference out there. OSU just had a bad game when they couldn't afford to.

Ginn is a outstanding player, but he doesn't play defense or offensive line. FLA still wins easily.

A few quick screen passes to Ginn Jr. would have made FLA's D-line play a little more conservatively. Without him being in the game, you really can't say that he wouldn't have made that big of a difference. I really don't see FLA scoring that much if there would have been a few momentum swings. All in all, the Gators played a better game yesterday. Does that mean they are a better team? Not necessarily.

I was in the bowling alley yesterday so I didn't get to join in but all I can say is, "WHAT ABOUT THE SEC!".

I'm and AU fan to the heart, but I'm glad that the Gators showed up and did their thing!

Maybe people will stop under estimating teams from the SEC?

Congratulations to the Florida Gators. So much for the naysayers who moaned that they didn't deserve to be there in the first place, and OSU would show them so. These folks thought that Michigan was the second best team in the country and thus deserved a second shot at OSU, yeah they got beat the first time they met. Michigan got their bowl game. Remind me again about how good they are...:)

There was no doubt about the outcome of this game from the first quarter. Florida outplayed OSU on both sides of the ball. I looked at some game stats. Fla put together scoring drives comprised of 7, 5, 10, 9, 4, 3 and 8 plays. They only 2 3-play drives and one of those resulted in a touchdown. They didn't have big plays (only 1 play for 20 yds or better), but rather a lot of taking what the defense was giving.

OSU on the other hand had only 1 5-play drive (no score) and 2 4-play drives, 1 resulting in a touchdown. OSU turned the ball over twice. Ginn's loss may or may not have spelled doom for OSU, but I doubt it. Of course it is pure speculation on either side of that argument, but it is a fact that he doesn't play defense and OSU did have their Heisman winner was on the field all night.

Now, for the national championship...does the undefeated Boise St. team get any votes?

They did get 1 vote ;)
but then again other than Oklahoma , they didn't beat any big name schools.

they do hold the longest current division 1 winning streak going into next year:D
