Hi Guys,

I'd like to ask everyone who has experience with General Motors paint (Post '02 Yukons, Tahoes, etc.) what products and processes they have used and with which ones they've had the best results.

Specifically the black color.

Thanks!

JS

do a search for some of a users posts named blkyukon (sp?). he has done tutorials on polishing and is a real expert no matter what paint it is. However i believe there is a corrolation between his screen name and his vehicle so...
Check it out or look in the detailing showcase for gm's or yukons and in the first post should be a description of the processes used. Good luck.

What are you trying to accomplish? most all the products that are sold threw this site will work on post 02 GM paints, of any colors.

Search for posts from "mgm2003". He has a black Tahoe and Silver STS. Used to have a pearl white CTS...Plenty of experience with GM paint.

You are just asking the same question you asked in this thread. The answer is that we have to see the paint condition before we can tell you what to do. Black is black. If it has light swirls then you use a light polish. If it has heavy swirls then you use a more abrasive compound. Post more information about the specific condition of the vehicle you are refering to and you'll get the help you are looking for. Until then you can stop asking this question because it can't be answered unless you are going to give us more to go off of.
