Single stage? That's definitely not OEM paint then. I've worked on my friend's red 2000 model year AP1, friend's black 2005 model year AP1, another black AP1, and this white AP1 and they all had OEM clear coat.

I just looked it up....... and some of the reds have tinted clear coat . I remember my pad getting red, and thought it must have been single stage.

I was wrong.It happens sometimes.

Hehe, that's kind of funny that it was tinted clear coat. The dumb things that automakers do.
