Glaze everyone is using these days?

Yep. I know what you're thinking and in application, looks, consistency, scent and sun-friendliness it's comparable, if not the same to another product.

For the OP, you probably want an acrylic glaze on that color. The sheen of oily glaze will lose out to the gloss of acrylic glaze on pretty much everything except for black, red or single stage.

What do you suggest for a acrylic glaze?

Yes, it is purple with a strong grape scent. I have used EZ Creme, DWG, and Poorboy's Black Hole. For me they are all similar in appearance but each provides a different look. Black Hole did seem to fill more than the other two and I really do like the glow that it has produced on my Black truck. DWG lasted well on its own(6 weeeks) but did not seem to work well with sealants. It kind of mitigated the characteristics of the three sealants that I worked with. EZ-Creme was as its title states...easy to use but was the least impressive of the three in my testing of products.

more fillers? Cool! My car is outdoors 24/7 and I don't want to polish every 6 weeks, so a filler application here and there would be ideal. :)

Yes, that has been my experience with it. Used on a setting of 1 or 2 on the PC apply until the shine comes through. Then top with a sealant or wax and you will be surprised. I was that is for sure. I did put on several coats in a matter of a few days. I needed to find a filler since I had polished too much the previous three or four years. From now on it is twice a year and no more.

On some other threads, people have mentioned that DWG and CG Extreme EZ-Creme II are now the same product.

Can someone please confirm / deny? Note I'm referring to EZ-Creme II, not 1 (not sure when II was released?)

Thanks,

cwcad andShuskanz3, any tips on using Black Hole glaze? I chose BH over DWG to get some extra polishing and extra filling. I plan to apply by hand (no PC yet...). I plan to polish with Sonus SFX1 and SFX3 (hand polish bundle) first. I will be working on a red Ford Ranger first (my test bed with minor swirling) and then a black Acura where I hope to mitigate the appearance of early stage clearcoat failure. LSP choices on hand include NXTv2, S100, Mothers Step 3, and Megs 16.

I would apply BH with an applicator pad and be prepared to work your arms because the more you work it the more filling you will get up to a point. I have used the PC at speed three and at speed two. I cannot explain why but when applied at a slower speed it filled better and took a while for it to come to a shine. It is looking like a good product to mitigate marring on my Black truck.

I don't know for sure but if it were me I would not have a problem using any of the LSP's that you have listed. BH should work with almost any LSP. It depends on what you are looking for in shine and protection.

Agreed! Work into the paint until the shine begins to appear.

Thanks, cwcad! Sounds like I will have to use BH one section at a time to keep my arms attached after polishing, too! LOL

I forgot I also have Collinite 845 IW... My understanding is that all of these are products without cleaning abilities, so should work over Black Hole.

After this weekend, I may have a red Ranger with a different LSP on each panel. It is a non-metallic finish (unlike the Acura). Since I am looking for longevity then shine on Ranger vs. shine then longevity on Acura, it may end up being a test of OTC LSPs.

Color of car is a United Gray (metallic) VW GTI. What I would like to have is a deep wet look. Have a UDM on hand, and of course my hands. May be also trying 845, but most likely 106FF as the starter, glaze? then 845 or #21?

106FF is a finishing polish, not a glaze. It's meant to cut paint and usedbefore any glaze and/or LSP.

Bob (owner of Danase) has said (rather enthusiastically) that DWG is *NOT* the same as CG's EZ Creme Glaze. He acknowledges that they look and smell the same, but the base formula for his is unique. I don't see any reason to doubt him.

From what I've read DWG does not have any cleaners while EZ Creme Glaze apparently has a small amount. I'm still trying to verify this... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understood it is more difficult to layer EZ Creme with a product like UPGP because of the cleaners (actually, I want to be wrong to consolidate my next order from only a single website and they don't carry DWG).

When I apply a glaze it's usually the menzerna glaze - it's nothing special, no cleaners, waxes, polish. Great for pre-carnauba prep. Seems to help a lot when applying P21S.
