I have seen glass polishing pads and glass polish...I will try it in a few weeks and let you know how well it works.

I would try some M205 by hand on a microfiber and see if it makes any difference. If that doesn't work step it up and try some M105. I am not sure what you have going on here, but it is obvious that you have tried the chemical/non abrasive route and that didn't work. I use polishes such as M105 all the time to polish out water spotted glass. Just only use it on the exterior of the glass.

I just polished out ALL the waterspots on my mom's windows last week with a Megs MF Cutting Pad and HD Adapt. You can pretty much use any polish you want though and it should take anything on the glass right off.

If for some reason it doesn't, there's always the option of using CarPro CeriGlass with a Rayon Pad, and that will without a doubt take it off.

I had some good results with Pinnacle GlassWork Water Spot Remover, it made some heavy water spotted glass look as good as new.
Not cheap though. From what I read on the subject, you need to make sure to seal the glass with something after done to protect it.
