I have seen many advertisements on a brand of sealant called
GLARE. It appears to be made in the US and is now available in many parts of the world.
I have heard that GLARE products are only supplied to their authorised detailing centres around the world and not for sale to the the average car owner.
The claims that GLARE make in certain parts of Asia is very strong...almost bordering on the unbelievable:
The product is claimed to keep your car glossy for 18months.
Before your car is treated, a glossmeter reading is taken (using a HORIBA glossmeter). Assuming the reading is 80, if this reading drops more than 8% anytime within 18months, they'll re-do your car free of charge.
Although, I am a serious S100 + Meg No7 fan, I cannot help but be impressed with those cars treated with GLARE.
1. Is GLARE actually ZAINO? The bottle, colour of the liquid looks very similar.
2. Has anyone treated their cars with GLARE before?
I have seen their GLARE-prepped cars and they look stunning. Super-slick with a deep wet look. However, I don't know how long it'll really last.
Thanks.
