rupes 15m2 and rupes mini. wanting to pick up/learn a rotary soon

The PE14 is a wonderful machine. I haven`t used it much, but I can see myself using this more and more in the future.

Love my GG6, but have G15 on my Christmas wishlist

My scale broke, but I was comparing these two last week. Seem to be about similar weight. For giggles, I put the BOSS pads onto the GG6 and spun it. Did same with G15 machine....both felt quite smooth. Granted, this was not done at max speed settings, but still, they felt pretty good. (Of course one is still a long throw)

A Megs guy, eh? I really do like the MT300.... It`s currently my #1 used machine.

... and my G110v2 with the smaller, custom NXTi housing on it. My Rupes mini is great for a lot of things but the G110 never stops rotating and I feel the shorter offset is more ideal for tighter areas.

I hear you on the shorter offset for tighter areas! - And custom NXTi housing?!?! Sounds neat! (come to think of it... I THINK i`ve seen one of these)

I reallyyyyy want a PE-14. Paul teased me this morning saying we had an open box PE-14 and I started to pull out my wallet. Jerk. I`ll probably bite the bullet and pay for a new one after this weekend.

Having been around automotive shops all my life, all I knew was a rotary. Still have my 80`s vintage metal case made-in-USA Rockwell, as well as a later plastic one from the Far East. However, since I bought my GG about 4 years ago, the rotary only comes out for nasty headlights and occasional deep scratches.

I keep eyeing all the newer long-throws available, so maybe things will change someday.

I didn`t think I would need a rotary so often but I`ve actually used my Makita a lot. Time to upgrade I think.
