Ghost Wax?

What I usually do is put my head near the side of the car and then look down the length of the car, thats when I can tell if there is wax still remaining, sometimes looking dead on, just does not work.

Good advice. What's even better is looking from the side and upward at the side panels. You can see a lot from this vantage point.

I'm using halogens on my details, so I don't feel like I'm missing anything

I'm still of the belief that its just not dried product in some cases

Exactly what i do.. I learned this little trick when I used to flip cars.. You can find out a lot about a car by looking at it this way.

Buying a used car? look down the sides from front and back and if there was is damage you will see it. In most cases...

Reason being is that viewing a car straight on hides most imperfections...

For the wax residue I usually spit shine with PB spray and gloss or z8
