GG Pads Reccomendation

Guys,

I have both the 3 and 6 GG ROs (Newer Version). Regardless the polish (105/205, GG, etc) i can't get these things to remove anything with the GG pads. I am hoping that someone can recommend a more agreesive pad. My major problem is with my 08 EVO. Nothing real bad but the damn GG pads won't remove a thing. Please let me know what pad will work!!!

Sclinton, I ran into the same problem with my GG pads, especially on harder clears. The GG orange is a MILD polishing pad, especially amongst other oranges. While I haven't done it yet, I've been researching the heck out of pads on this forum and of course Lake Country (also known as LC) seems to be a favorite, despite a vocal minority stating that some of the pads don't last.

As an alternative, I've also heard of Uber pads. I believe that detailersdomain.com sells them exclusively, but they're supposed to be terrific. At one of the site vendors, autogeek.net, they have some good mix n' match 6 pack deals on Lake Country pads. I agree with bigal, a new backing plate plus some new pads should do you a world of difference.

Also wanted to add that I have heard nothing but good reviews on customer support from both detailersdomain and autogeek. Buy with confidence :hifive:

Besides using pads smaller than 6", I'd consider the LC Hydrotech pads, which are supposedly similar in design to the GG's pads.

But yeah, the Griot's 6" is pretty mild for serious work; I like it with M205 via Flex for clearing up what M105/cutting pads leaves behind though. But I only use 6" pads via Flex or rotary, too big for "regular" RO/DA polishers IMO.
